Safety Engineering Design

Compliant safeguarding and control design for industrial machinery and plant, developed to standard and built for real operating conditions.

Contact The Safety Design Experts

TEG Risk develops safety engineering designs that take a machine or plant from identified risk to a compliant, practical safeguarding and control solution. We interpret and apply the relevant AS/NZS 4024 standards, design the safeguarding and control measures to suit your site, and set out clear, actionable design outputs your team can implement and maintain.

What we deliver

Safeguarding Design Services:

  • Site-specific safeguarding and control design to the AS/NZS 4024 series
  • Zone A and Zone B safeguarding methodology, with Zone B assessed on risk, operating conditions, access frequency and personnel exposure
  • Perimeter fencing, interlocked access gates and trapped key systems
  • Emergency stop and pull wire design, isolation, reset and hold-to-run functions
  • Equipment-specific retrofit solutions, including local guarding, guard extensions, control relocation, walkways, crossovers and fall prevention
  • Prioritised action registers and design outputs detailed enough to take to implementation

Our Approach

Every design starts from the hazards and the standards, and is then shaped around how the site actually runs. We account for constrained space, existing platforms and access routes, and the need to keep inspection, lubrication, cleaning and routine maintenance safe and workable. The result is a design that meets current standards and suits staged implementation in a live operating environment.
